Since 1998 Your Voice has published quarterly editions, including many with first-hand accounts of mental difficulties. Through the editions you will also be able to follow the history of mental health and related services in Sheffield. They are a useful resource for research, teaching, policy-making and general interest.
The Individual magazines (in pdf form) have been compressed into zip-files, which can be opened in all computer operating systems. You may need to download the Adobe Acrobat (or any other) pdf reader to view the files. Just put "Adobe Acrobat" into a search engine, and download whatever version of Acrobat which suits your system. Most systems these days have the program pre-installed as a default. It is currently free. There are other pdf readers available, some specially designed for Unix, Mac OS, Linux or other non-Windows systems. Just search the web for "pdf reader" to find suitable ones.
